The Humphrey Fellowship Program's 40th Anniversary Workshop, "African Humphrey Voices: Building a Better Future for Our Continent," took place September 14-16, 2018, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The workshop acknowledged the achievements of over 5,800 Humphrey alumni and the communities enriched by them through the themes of economic development and good governance. Through high-level speakers, topic panels, and networking events, the program highlighted the expertise and impact of Humphrey alumni over the last 40 years, while exploring current international trends and shared global challenges.
