The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program will celebrate its 40-year anniversary with approximately 80 alumni from the Indo-Pacific region that came together at the “Indo-Pacific Pathways to Cooperation” Alumni Conference on June 17-19, 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia. AssistantSecretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Academic Programs Caroline Casagrande participated in the conference’s opening sessions. The three-day event focused on topics related to economics, governance and security, and acknowledged the legacy of the nearly 6,000 Fellows and alumni around the world who work to improve the lives of people by promoting economic development, social progress, regional peace and security, and collaboration. In Indonesia, the Humphrey Fellowship Program is administered by the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF).
